AGREEMENT WITH THE MAINEL FOUNDATION
To high school and college students
THE CURSOL AND MAINEL FOUNDATIONS SIGN THE COLLABORATION AGREEMENT MOTIVATED BY THE 18TH EDITION OF THE MAINEL LITERARY AWARDS, THIS TIME UNDER THE SLOGAN: "WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FROM NEW MILLENNIUM?"
The Cursol Foundation has ratified an agreement with the Mainel Foundation in order to collaborate in the 18th edition of the Mainel Literary Awards destined to the high school an college students, this time under the motto: "What do you expect from the new millennium?" This edition aspires to, through creative writing, make young people to think about poverty issues and to develop the taste for reading and writing.
This year the awards, established by Mainel Foundation 18 years ago, count with the collaboration with Cursol Foundation due to the ratification of the agreement signed by the president of the Cursol Foundation Padro Manuel González and the president of the Mainel Foundation Vicente Emilio López.
The president of the Cursol Foundation Pedro Manuel González has said that: "one of the goals of our Fundation which is of cultural, educational and scientific character is the collaboration with other foundations enabled to contribute to the accomplishments of the Cursol´s targets, those which share our ends such as precisely the Mainel Foundation whose activity matches with what we are craving and looking for.
The deadline for admission of the original manuscripts of the stories is march 21st of 2015. To encourage the students to participate in the competition and to make easier their work in the professor´s hall, the Mainel Foundation disposes some instructive notebooks on "United Nations Millennium Development Goals" articulated by the UN general Assembly in 2000 which can be downloaded from the website mainel.org.
